Sorah Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon ) - Verses Number 11
وَالضُّحَىٰ ( 1 ) Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon ) - Ayaa 1
By the Glorious Morning Light,
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ( 2 ) Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon ) - Ayaa 2
And by the Night when it is still,-
Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.
And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.
And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.
Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ ( 7 ) Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon ) - Ayaa 7
And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.
وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ( 8 ) Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon ) - Ayaa 8
And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.
Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,
Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard);
But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim!

  • Concept of God in IslamIts author said in the introduction, "It is a known fact that every language has one or more terms that are used in reference to God and sometimes to lesser deities. This is not the case with Allah. Allah is the personal name of the One true God. Nothing else can be called Allah. The term has no plural or gender. This shows its uniqueness when compared with the word "god," which can be made plural, as in "gods," or made feminine, as in "goddess." It is interesting to notice that Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus and a sister language of Arabic."

  • Hell - A Vision from withinA very important series begins on the list today, concerned with the subject of al-Jannah and an-Naar - the Paradise and the Hell-Fire. One of these two will be the end destination; moreover the eternal abode, for each and every one of us. Therefore it is crucial for us to reflect on what Allah has prepared for mankind - for those who are obedient and recognise His favours, and for those who reject His sins and rebel against Him.
