Sorah Quraish - Verses Number 4

لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ ( 1 )

For the covenants (of security and safeguard enjoyed) by the Quraish,

إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ ( 2 )

Their covenants (covering) journeys by winter and summer,-

فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَٰذَا الْبَيْتِ ( 3 )

Let them adore the Lord of this House,

الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍ ( 4 )

Who provides them with food against hunger, and with security against fear (of danger).

The Rights of ParentsIslam recognizes family as a basic social unit. Along with the husband-wife relationship the Parent-child relationship is the most important one. To maintain any social relationship both parties must have some clear-cut Rights as well as obligations. The relationships are reciprocal. Duties of one side are the Rights of the other side.
