Sorah Az-Zalzalah ( The Earthquake )

English - Transliteration

Sorah Az-Zalzalah ( The Earthquake ) - Verses Number 8

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ( 1 )

Itha zulzilati al-ardu zilzalaha

وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا ( 2 )

Waakhrajati al-ardu athqalaha

وَقَالَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا ( 3 )

Waqala al-insanu ma laha

يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ( 4 )

Yawma-ithin tuhaddithu akhbaraha

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا ( 5 )

Bi-anna rabbaka awha laha

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ ( 6 )

Yawma-ithin yasduru annasuashtatan liyuraw aAAmalahum

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ ( 7 )

Faman yaAAmal mithqala tharratinkhayran yarah

وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ ( 8 )

Waman yaAAmal mithqala tharratinsharran yarah

The Rights of ParentsIslam recognizes family as a basic social unit. Along with the husband-wife relationship the Parent-child relationship is the most important one. To maintain any social relationship both parties must have some clear-cut Rights as well as obligations. The relationships are reciprocal. Duties of one side are the Rights of the other side.
