Sorah Al-Asr ( The Time ) - Verses Number 3
وَالْعَصْرِ ( 1 ) 
By time,
إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ ( 2 )
Indeed, mankind is in loss,
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ ( 3 )
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

From its introduction -'A hadith (pl. ahadith) is composed of two parts: the matn (text) and the isnad (chain of reporters). It was found that the missing link between the Successor and the Prophet (SAS) might be one person, i.e. a Companion, or two persons, the extra person being an older Successor who heard the hadith from the Companion.'
