Sorah An-Nas ( Mankind ) - Verses Number 6

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ( 1 )

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ( 2 )

The Sovereign of mankind.

إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ ( 3 )

The God of mankind,

مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ( 4 )

From the evil of the retreating whisperer -

الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ( 5 )

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ( 6 )

From among the jinn and mankind."

The Rights of ParentsIslam recognizes family as a basic social unit. Along with the husband-wife relationship the Parent-child relationship is the most important one. To maintain any social relationship both parties must have some clear-cut Rights as well as obligations. The relationships are reciprocal. Duties of one side are the Rights of the other side.
