Sorah Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon )

English - Transliteration

Sorah Ad-Dhuha ( The Forenoon ) - Verses Number 11

وَالضُّحَىٰ ( 1 )

Wadduha

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ( 2 )

Wallayli itha saja

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ( 3 )

Ma waddaAAaka rabbuka wama qala

وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ ( 4 )

Walal-akhiratu khayrun laka minaal-oola

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ ( 5 )

Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatarda

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ ( 6 )

Alam yajidka yateeman faawa

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ ( 7 )

Wawajadaka dallan fahada

وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ( 8 )

Wawajadaka AAa-ilan faaghna

فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ( 9 )

Faamma alyateema fala taqhar

وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ( 10 )

Waamma assa-ila falatanhar

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ( 11 )

Waamma biniAAmati rabbika fahaddith

The Rights of ParentsIslam recognizes family as a basic social unit. Along with the husband-wife relationship the Parent-child relationship is the most important one. To maintain any social relationship both parties must have some clear-cut Rights as well as obligations. The relationships are reciprocal. Duties of one side are the Rights of the other side.
